Every journey has defining moments that shape who we become. For me, the path I’ve taken has been filled with exciting opportunities, unique challenges and fond memories. Summarized below is the story of how my professional experiences in life have not only defined my career but also influenced my values and aspirations.
My Professional Story
I was born and raised in Greeley, Colorado, in a family deeply rooted in hard work and determination. My dad came from a multi-generational farming family and built his career as both a sheriff and a business entrepreneur. My mom, the first in her family to graduate from college, dedicated her life to teaching. Their resilience and perseverance inspired me to strive for excellence in everything I do. I was a competitive gymnast for most my childhood through high school. I believe, competing on a 4-inch balance beam 4 feet off the ground taught me confidence, focus, and resilience—qualities that continue to drive my professional journey today.
At 14, I started and marketed my own carpet cleaning business, sparking a lifelong passion for business and entrepreneurship. In high school, I immersed myself in business courses, laying the foundation for my business degree and professional growth. My entrepreneurial spirit remains strong today, as I run a small business website and recently opened a Real Estate Investment LLC.
After earning my business degree, I began my career at Mervyn’s Corporate buying office, gaining experience in data analytics, budgeting, and inventory planning. This experience deepened my passion for financial analysis, leading me to PepsiCo, where I spent seven years advancing in sales finance roles focused on growing customer revenue and managing multi-million dollar customer trade spend budgets.
At Del Monte Foods, I developed expertise in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and commercial finance. I supported the business from connecting with growers to customers. I spent time touring operations, and collaborating with key retailers across the U.S., building my capability to connect strategy with execution. Most recently, at Bradshaw Home (a consumer packaged home goods company), I've led cross-departmental initiatives, creating annual operating plans, evaluating risks and opportunities, and conducting financial modeling to drive strategic decisions. These experiences have equipped me with the leadership, analytical, and collaborative skills essential for driving business success.
